a lot of medications are ridiculously expensive even if you have insurance. i know this because my 2 PH meds total almost $100,000/YEAR out of pocket. and i think if i had insurance, i’d still have to pay something like 30% because they’re speciality drugs or something.

It’s important to note that this is when the drug is only available as it’s brand. It’s better for them to use some of their insurance profits to get others on the drug, so they’ll be advocates for using the drug. It’s the same reason your doctor is supplied with “samples”. Great marketing!
