I’m not really very political

sarkastickunt:

Or politic savvy.

I don’t watch the debates. I don’t know the difference between primaries or caucuses.

I don’t watch CNN or ABC NEWS or even pretend to know what Jon Stewart or Bill Mahr are friggin’ talking about.

And to be honest…I don’t really care.

However…I DO VOTE.

I vote for who ever is going to respect and stand behind and fight for the platforms that apply to me or people I know.

Healthcare.

Abortion.

Equal rights.

I don’t know about big banks and deficits and bail outs. And to be honest, I really don’t care.

I vote for someone that will use MY voice. That will speak about the things that are relevant to me.

Maybe that makes me irresponsible. Maybe I suck at this whole “choosing a party” thing.

Maybe you’re right.

If I can’t stand behind a personal friend or acquaintance talking shit or belittling or dismantling the dreams and hopes of the people I care about, how the hell can I ever support that person…REGARDLESS OF THE OTHER THINGS THEY ARE CAPABLE OF DOING FOR THIS COUNTRY…as a president??

This is one of the most honest things I’ve seen anyone post in regards to current politics.

So many people climb up onto the platform and tout their favorite as the best, yet cannot define why, or use reasons which are actually “the other candidate(s) suck(s).”

Regardless the width of your scope for choosing the person for whom you’ll vote, at least you have clearly defined criteria.

NONE of us know as much as we should when we vote, But some vote for whomever they think will win because they want to have been part of electing said potential winner, not the candidtate whom best represents and promotes the dreams and hopes of the people they care about.

At least you have some solid reasons. Vote on.
